Art of cooking day 4- Mia and Norb

So today we made shrimp and grits as well as biscuits. We began our day by measuring out proportions out and preparing the shrimp for refrigerating. We peeled them and cut them down the middle so that they would be better in the stew. After that we washed them, put a damp napkin over them and put the bowl in the refrigerator. After that we began preparing the stew, this was the longest of the steps as it involved the most ingredients. The stew was easily my favorite part though, and we've continued using the seasoning from the stew on other foods since it's so good. We then began making the grits, which was actually a pretty easy process, and while we were working on the grits, the other members in our groups finished up the stew.

We used a traditional cajun seasoning on our dishes, similar to Tony Chachere seasoning, we used it in the shrimp before we cooked it and it gave a very salty but delicious flavor. The grits were delicious and soaked up the sauce which gave them a great flavor. This has to be my favorite meal so far.
